Types of solar power technology
There are two key solar electricity technology types. These are photovoltaic cells, also known as PVs, and concentrated solar power, also known as CSP or solar thermal generation.
PV solar may be centralized utility-scale generation or may be distributed with generation located at or near customer facilities. CPS is currently almost always utility-scale.
